To provide a high quality musical opportunity for musicians to share their talents and love of music by performing a variety of music from the rich repertoire of the American community band at formal indoor concerts and at casual outdoor community venues and events for the entertainment, education, and enrichment of audiences in the Finger Lakes region.

About Us
The Finger Lakes Community Band is a diverse volunteer organization, comprised of area residents. This community-based ensemble embraces a range of age and ability levels and always welcomes new members. Our mission is to provide high-quality entertainment, education, and enrichment of audiences in the Finger Lakes region. We rehearse once per week throughout the school year, perform four formal concerts and an outdoor concert during the summer.
The Finger Lakes Community Band (formerly known as the Finger Lakes Concert Band) formed originally in 1984 through Finger Lakes Community College as a music course for college students and an ensemble open to community musicians. In 2005 sponsorship of the band was assumed by the Hochstein School of Music. After two silent years due to the pandemic, in 2022 the group reorganized as an independent organization under the name Finger Lakes Community Band.
